PPS has recently replaced our Epson 9600 printer wide format printer with a Hewlett Packard Z3200. The cost and functionality of the Z3200 is pretty much the same as the equivalent Epson printers but the Wilhelm Institute reports significantly better ink permanence with the HP Vivera inks. Those interested in this can check it out at www.wilhelm-research.com.
We have also added a Canon iPF5100 to our Epson 4800 and 4000 printers. The iPF5100 is a 17" printer and has a somewhat different set of capabilities than the Epson printers allowing us a more efficient workflow as well as the ability to print more work in the same time.
PPS now has the capability of printing on matte paper; luster and glossy photo paper; satin and matte poster paper; smooth and textured fine art paper; poplin, oxford and canvas fabric; vinyl banner material; white film and back-lit film.
